CHALLENGE WORKSHOPS
Regulations for participation in the competition
1. Context
The Challenge Oficinas by Jornal das Oficinas is a national initiative aimed at automotive workshops, focused on valuing workshop management, including business management, people management, and customer management.
It is a competition structured in several phases, with progressive tests, culminating in an in-person final.
2. Involved Entities
Jornal das Oficinas (AP Comunicação - promoting and organiser entity of the Challenge Oficinas)
GRUP EINA (entity responsible for the tests and Jury of the Challenge Oficinas)
3. Participation Conditions
1. Participation is open to any automotive workshop.
2. Each workshop may register only one team.
3. Each team must consist of 3 members.
4. Registration in the Challenge Oficinas by Jornal das Oficinas implies full acceptance of these regulations.
Public Regulations
4. Structure
The Challenge Oficinas by Jornal das Oficinas consists of four distinct phases.
Phase 1 – Registration
Period: January to April 30th
Online registration of the workshop and team (There is no test in this phase)
Phase 2 – Online Management Test
Period: May 9th to 27th
Associated test:
Test A – Day-to-Day Workshop Management
This test takes place online and assesses the ability to make decisions in real-life situations of day-to-day workshop management. Teams are ranked according to the score obtained, and are classified for the next phase.
Phase 3 – Online Elimination Round
by Jornal das Oficinas
Period: June 13th to 24th

Test B – Critical Management Decisions
In this phase, teams face practical management cases that require justified decisions, focused on people, clients, and business sustainability.
At the end of this phase, the 8 finalist teams are selected.
Phase 4 – In-Person Final
Date: September 16th
Format: Full-day in-person event
The 8 finalist teams participate in several in-person management tests, which determine the final ranking of the Challenge Oficinas.
5. Evaluation and Ranking
1. Each test has its own evaluation criteria, defined by the organization.
2. The score is assigned based on objective and previously established criteria. 3. Response time may be considered for ranking purposes. 4.
4. In case of a tie, tie-breaking criteria defined by the organization will be applied.
Evaluation and qualification criteria
The evaluation of the teams participating in the Challenge Oficinas by Jornal das Oficinas is carried out in stages, according to the following rules:
Test A
1. Test A is eliminatory.
2. Only teams that pass this test will be able to access Test B.
3. Test A does not generate a final ranking nor does it, by itself, determine qualification for the in-person phase.
Test B
1. Test B is evaluated by the jury based on criteria defined in the internal regulations.
2. The results of Test B constitute the main basis for analysis for the selection of the finalist teams.
Selection of Finalist Teams
1. The qualification of the 8 teams for the in-person phase is the responsibility of the organization, taking into account the results obtained in Test B.
2. In case of a tie or need for a tiebreaker, the score obtained in Test A may be used as an additional criterion.
3. The organization reserves the right to make the final decision on the selection of the teams that advance to the in-person phase.
6. Jury and Decisions
1. The tests are evaluated by the jury.
2. The jury's decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
7. Communication and Dissemination
1. Team rankings and progression between phases will be published through the official channels of the Workshop Challenge by Jornal das Oficinas.
2. The organization reserves the right to publish images, names, and results of participating teams for the purpose of communicating the event.
8. Amendments to the Regulations
The organization reserves the right to make amendments to these regulations whenever necessary, ensuring their timely dissemination.
9. Final Provisions
Participation in the Workshop Challenge implies knowledge and full acceptance of these regulations.
